Please notify us of the size you wish to buy and any special requests with regards to the colour of your swallows. NB. The majority of swallows will be natural or black, but it will be possible for Celia to incorporate a 'flash' of colour to one of two of the birds if desired.
Before confirming your order, Leonora will be able to notify you of an approximate completion date.
A non-refundable deposit of 30% will be required to secure your wreath. The balance will be due upon completion, plus any additional shipping costs.
For Wilderness Festival 2015 Celia is delighted to have created a breathtaking new installation designed specifically for the banqueting hall. When guests look up as they feast on sumptuous food by a number of world-class chefs including Raymond Blanc and Angela Hartnett, they will see Celia's largest installation to date - GULP* - which will comprise a flock of 250 beautifully crafted swallows swooping and dancing over the heads of the revelry below. *Gulp is the collective noun for a flock of swallows.
After the festival GULP will be dismantled and made available for sale as a strictly limited edition of 20 smaller bespoke wreaths (10 of each size). These wreaths will be created during autumn this year and should be ready for delivery by Spring 2016. Should you wish to purchase one of these works as a Christmas present we will be delighted to put together a small pack of information for you to give the lucky recipient.
There will be two wreaths available for purchase (as illustrated above). Please note that the photographs above are for illustration purposes and sizes and finished sculpture will vary very slightly from wreath to wreath.
The swallows are created using paper coated wire and as such, are not suitable for outdoor display and should ideally be situated in a dry environment. Celia has used some coloured birds within the main GULP sculpture (green, blue and red) and it may be possible to incorporate specific 'flash' of colour into each piece - please do contact Leonora Martin to discuss options.
